On 21 October we hosted a round table on opportunities for UK-UAE-Africa financial services collaboration.
The financial services sector in high-growth African markets is evolving and innovating at speed - creating financial inclusion opportunities for unbanked individuals and small businesses, improving affordability and choice, and providing access to new digital finance products. The UK and the UAE are the leading partners in this sector for markets such as Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
We were delighted to host our first UK-UAE-Africa Financial Services Dialogue in Dubai this week to identify the specific opportunities for future collaboration. We are very grateful to Bloomberg for their support and to all the attendees for the lively discussion.
