Publication of our report on Opportunities for UK-UAE Collaboration in Skills, Qualifications and Assessment

On 20th April 2026, the UAE-UK Business Council launched its report on ‘Opportunities for UK-UAE Collaboration in Skills, Qualifications and Assessment” at the House of Lords.

This report is a product of a year-long campaign which included a series of virtual meetings and webinars between experts in this sector from both countries. The Paper focuses on three thematic areas:

  • Industry Perspectives

  • Pedagogical Perspectives

  • Women in Skills

The report also includes a series of recommendations for both Governments, industry and the wider business community on developing resilient, inclusive and adaptable skills ecosystems that prepare workforces for the industries of the future, both countries collaborating together to reform regulatory and pedagogical frameworks to ensure vocational, technical and higher education pathways align with labour market needs, are internationally benchmarked and mutually recognised. The UAE-UK Business Council will review the recommendations on a six-monthly basis.
