London Stock Exchange welcomes Masdar

Congratulations to Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), celebrating raising $750 million through its first ever issuance of green bonds, and commemorating the event by opening the Markets at London Stock Exchange. The issuance is the first part of a programme to raise up to US$3 billion of bonds to meet Masdar’s equity funding commitments on new renewable energy projects across the world.

As the UAE’s clean energy pioneer, Masdar is active in more than 40 countries across six continents and has committed to invest, or has invested in, renewable energy projects worldwide with an overall value of more than US$30 billion. Established in 2006, Masdar has set a target of becoming the world’s largest renewable energy company by 2030.
