Summit on Decarbonising the Built Environment

On December 7, we hosted our Summit on Decarbonisation of the Built Environment at The Climate Hub, Heriot Watt University, Dubai Campus. Discussion centred around how the UAE and the UK can work more closely together in three key areas:
- retrofitting of building stock
- data sets, methodologies and evaluation
- decarbonising cement, and alternative building materials
We are truly grateful to our guest speakers and panellists for making this such a stimulating exchange of ideas, to RICS for sponsoring the event and to the The Centre of Excellence in Smart and Sustainable Construction at Heriot-Watt University, Dubai Campus.

In the new year, we will be distilling the key points from the discussions into a policy paper, which we will be submitting to the UK and UAE Governments for consideration.
