Launch of the UAE-UK Business Council’s Campaign on Opportunities for Collaboration in Cancer Treatment

January 30, 2023, Dubai World Trade Centre

We launched our UAE-UK Cancer Campaign at Arab Health on 30 January, with a panel discussion on Opportunities for Collaboration in Cancer Services.

The discussion covered a wide range of topics, including screening and early detection, genomics, the importance of lifestyle changes and vaccination against certain cancers, and the role of AI in expediting and scaling up cancer screening and diagnostics. We will continue to identify opportunities for commercial collaboration in our focus group discussions and will issue a White Paper on this later in the year. We are very grateful to Dr Maha Barakat, Lord Kakkar, Peter Kecskemethy, Dr Simon Hughes, Professor Dame Lyn Chitty, Dr Kadhim Alabady, HE Dr Omniyat Al Hajeri and Eleanor Slinger for participating in this event.

Our thanks also to Healthcare UK at the Department for International Trade for co-hosting the event with us.
