The UAE-UK Business Council is a thought leadership forum that brings together senior business representatives, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders from both countries to identify and help to resolve barriers to trade and investment between the UAE and the UK.

Through its Working Groups, campaigns and events, it seeks to identify emerging trends and opportunities for closer commercial collaboration between the two countries. We work in partnership with the UAE and UK Governments, and through our Co-Chairs – Lord Lister and HE Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh - we provide strategic advice to both Governments on the interests and concerns of our member companies and the wider business community.

The Business Council is funded entirely by its members and is supported by a Joint Secretariat that represents the interests of both UAE and UK member companies. We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in 2021 by extending membership to SMEs and academic institutions, launching a new website and by delivering events in both markets to promote bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors – from life-sciences to energy, and from AI to food security.
